Early Sunday morning, firefighters were called to the East Plant of ADM to extinguish a fire burning in a metal tank.
The fire likely smoldered in the tank for an extended period of time after ADM crews worked on the tank on Friday. Employees who noticed the fire contacted local fire departments, who flowed water through the tank to put out the fire.
There was no damage to the plant and no injuries were reported. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
