Yesterday the Pritzker administration announced over $3.7 billion will be used for highway construction next year.
Te state’s annual update for the Illinois’ Transportation Improvement Program shows that Illinois will spend upwards of $23 billion over the next six years in repairs and growth. The plan is to prioritize the upkeep of roads. 3/4 of the plan’s funds are to be used for road preservation and reconstruction.
