A man from Decatur, who was wanted on a warrant, ran to escape arrest after shoving an officer. 23-year-old Dustin Hassler showed up to the Macon County Courthouse when he was approached by an officer who recognized Hassler was wanted for failure to appear in court for driving on a suspended license.
When the officer got near, Hassler pushed him and took off running from the courtroom. After attempting to stun Hassler, the officer radioed for assistance and deputies were able to catch him. Hassler was then arrested for his warrant and was also charged with resisting arrest and aggravated battery to an officer.
His bail is set at $25,000.
