An attorney was hit by the inmate he was representing. The attorney was left with a swollen lip after his client, Jarius Fuller, asked him to come to him during a court appearance.
Fuller, who was facing two charges of aggravated battery and one charge of aggravated battery to a peace officer, has been found to be mentally unfit to stand trial. The attorney has represented Fuller on multiple occasions since 2008 and claimed they always got along well, but Fuller was upset he had to be taken back to the county jail.
The attorney is not planning to file charges but Fuller may face additional charges from the State’s Attorney.
