Decatur police arrested a parolee after he ran when he noticed officers coming up to him. The 24-year-old was caught after a brief pursuit on foot. When he was patted down, he was found to be in possession of marijuana, narcotics, multiple cell phones and a revolver with spare ammunition.
The suspect has been charged with armed violence, resisting police and violation of probation.
