After being sentenced to 20 years in prison for the death of her daughter, it was revealed that Twanka Davis will serve her time at Logan Correctional Facility in Lincoln, Illinois. Davis, who was noticeably pregnant at her sentencing, took a plea deal that included three years of supervised release once her sentence is served. She is not eligible for early release and will be forced to register as a violent offender against youth.
Her daughter, Tanaja was discovered unresponsive on February 11th in a blanket that was still was still wet with urine. Her autopsy showed she was dehydrated, malnourished and exposed to cold temperatures.
Davis’ boyfriend has a court appearance Wednesday.
