A 53-year-old man was attacked with a knife in a robbery attempt on Monday. The victim was walking on South Silas Street around 7 p.m. when the suspect proceeded toward him and began yelling for money. When the victim told the suspect he did not have any money, the suspect lunged and cut the man’s upper arm with a knife.
The victim’s cut was treated and he was released from the hospital.
Police are currently investigating.
