Today Governor Pritzker signed a bill into law that will raise Illinois teacher salary to a minimum of $40,000 over the next few years. For the 2021 year, minimum teacher salary in Illinois will be $32,000. It will increase yearly in increments of approximately $2,500 a year until 2023-24 when it will reach $40,000.
