The Macon County Circuit Clerk website was hacked over the weekend. Those who logged on were then taken to a different page that said, “Hacked by Iranian hackers” the message continued…”We are always closer to you. Your identity is known to us. Your information is for us 😉 take care.”
Macon County Circuit Clerk has been notified and their IT group was working to fix the issue. When the image is clicked on, it would take you to an Instagram called bax026 with nearly 46,000 followers.
According to the AP, this is one of several attempts to breach government websites nationwide.
