A former governor candidate will challenge U.S. Senator Dick Durbin for his seat in 2020. Robert Marshall, who is a licensed physician and Vietnam veteran, announced he will be running as a Republican in the upcoming election. Marshall put emphasis on his experience in healthcare and background in public service during his announcement.
Although he previously ran as a Democrat, he noted how he has always remained pro-life and is a member of the NRA.
