Illinois tourism sees an increase in 2018

Governor Pritzker announced that more than 117 million tourists traveled through Illinois in 2018. Tourism helped boost the economy by $41.7 billion dollars, which was $2 billion dollars more than in 2017.  That marks 8 consecutive years of tourism growth in Illinois.  These numbers will likely be even higher next year with expanded gaming laws allowing casinos to be built and draw in a new crowd from neighboring states.
