Decatur police are investigating a death after an adult’s body was found in a state of advanced decomposition, likely having been there for an extended period of time.
Officers found the person on Wednesday. The lone description police made was that the body found was that of an adult. The coroner who examined the body reported no evidence of trauma to the head, neck, face or chest area. The cause of death is being investigated, and a toxicology test is pending.
