Governor Pritzker officially made Illinois the 11th state in the nation to have legalized marijuana for recreational use. Pritzker signed the bill into law earlier today and it will begin in January of 2020. Residents will be able to purchase and possess up to one ounce of marijuana at a time.
Medicinal patients will be able to grow up to five privately-grown plants as well.
