Illinois Department of Human Services, who are providers of home healthcare will receive back-pay sometime this week. The comptroller’s office will release the $30.7 million in back wages to the Department of Human Services to be issued Friday.
Back in March, Governor Pritzker said a deal was reached on rate increases and back pay.
Approximately 28,000 personal assistants from the agency’s home care program were scheduled for a near 50-cent raise back in August of 2017. Last year’s budget included a 4.26% rate increase for 14,000 child care workers. Neither had been paid by the Rauner administration.
