Illinois public schools receive additional $375 million for upcoming year

Illinois public schools will receive more funding in the coming fiscal year.  The Illinois State board of Education was updated yesterday in Springfield on changes to the budget.  Schools will be getting an additional $375 million.  The greatest share of that money would go to schools that are poorly funded.  Also included in the budget is $50 million for early childhood funding and another five million for technical education.
