Decatur Public Schools now plan to offer a before-and after-school program (BASAP) for students in elementary and middle school, beginning next year.
On Tuesday, the Decatur Board of Education accepted a partnership with Innovation Learning, which is a provider of BASAP as well as summer camps based in Colorado. The costs for the program will depend on household incomes.
The school sent out surveys to parents in the district and 90% of them agreed that the schools should offer BASAP.
