A Plea Deal Limits Sexual Assault Case to 10 Years

Antwain Ward was in Macon County Circuit Court Monday. He plead guilty to predatory criminal sexual assault. The sexual assault goes back to before 2017, when the victim was just in the 1st grade. The victim’s mother took her to a near by hospital to get checked out. The evidence provided by the check out proved some foul-play was at hand. Ward’s Public Defender, through a plea deal had one additional predatory criminal sexual assault charge dropped. As part of the plea deal a sentence cap of 10 years was put in to place as well. May 14th will be the date of final sentencing.
