A state Senate bill is aimed at raising the gas tax to pay for road and bridge repairs.  The bill was introduced last week and the 19-cent-per-gallon increase could create almost two billion dollars in additional revenue annually.  The bill also proposes increases in vehicle registration fees and driver’s license fees.
