A Shelby County resident is in custody following a weekend search that uncovered a suspected homemade explosive device. Authorities arrested 33-year-old Quinton Wallace at a Herrick home on Saturday. Investigators say Wallace, who was already out on pretrial release for a separate charge, was found with methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and several weapons. The device in question was secured by federal agents from the ATF for further analysis and safe disposal. Wallace now faces multiple new charges related to both illegal substances and possession of dangerous weapons, as the investigation continues. No injuries were reported during the incident.
