The National Weather Service has confirmed that six tornadoes swept through central Illinois over the weekend. The hardest hit was the Nokomis/Pana area, where a tornado tore off part of the roof at a local school, causing significant damage. Additional funnel clouds were reported in Assumption, Lovington, Tuscola, Bethany, and Arthur, leaving behind debris and downed power lines. Emergency crews have been working around the clock to restore electricity and clear roadways. Fortunately, no serious injuries have been reported. Officials urge residents to remain cautious as cleanup efforts continue and to report any further damage to local authorities.
