Illinois is among seven states affected by a drug-resistant strain of Salmonella linked to Rosabella brand moringa powder capsules, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Ambrosia Brands LLC has recalled the capsules packaged in white plastic bottles with a green label, spanning 52 lot codes and expiration dates in 2027. Consumers are urged to dispose of these capsules or return them to their place of purchase. The CDC warns that drug-resistant Salmonella can cause severe illness and is urging caution. For anyone with symptoms such as fever or abdominal pain, medical attention is recommended.
