New EV Charges Placed In Decatur

Residents in Decatur now have expanded access to electric vehicle charging stations. The city has installed new level three chargers at the Decatur Civic Center, Decatur Public Library, and Nelson Park dog park. These high-speed chargers, funded through grant money, are capable of fully charging an electric vehicle in as little as 45 minutes. City officials say the addition supports both convenience for local EV drivers and the city’s broader environmental goals.
