Illinois State Police arrested Sherez A. Boykins of Bloomington after an extensive investigation into alleged drug and gun trafficking in McLean County. Working with Bloomington Police, officers executed a search warrant at Boykins’ Fuller Court residence, where they found six loaded firearms, ammunition, cocaine, methamphetamine, and various narcotic pills. Boykins now faces 25 felony charges, including manufacturing and delivering cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, and multiple counts related to illegal firearm possession. He remains in custody at McLean County Jail awaiting his first court appearance. Authorities indicate further charges may be forthcoming as their investigation continues.
