Teen Accidentally Shot Himself While Playing With Mother’s Gun
A Decatur teen is recovering after accidentally shooting himself in the foot. The incident happened Saturday morning at a home in the city. Decatur Police officers responded to the hospital, where the boy was taken with minor injuries. According to reports, the 14-year-old boy found the gun in his mother’s room and was playing with it, loaded it, and then accidentally shot himself. The boy’s OK, and there’s no word on any charges being filed yet.
