Maroa Man Sentenced To 20 Years In Prison For Lighting Girlfriend On Fire
A Maroa man is going to prison for lighting his girlfriend on fire last year. Matthew Broadhacker was sentenced to 20 years after pleading guilty to attempted murder. Police say Broadhacker was arrested after police found the victim with burn injuries in a Maroa home in September 2023. The woman was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Investigators determined that Broadhacker poured gasoline on the victim and set her on fire.
