TAX AMNESTY DEADLINE
Monday is the last day for Illinoisans to pay outstanding eligible tax liabilities and have related penalties and interest forgiven. The state’s 2025 tax amnesty period runs from Oct. 1 to Nov. 17 for tax debt from periods between June 30, 2018, and July 1, 2024. Illinois Department of Revenue Director David Harris told The Center Square the state was on track to meet its goal of netting more than $240 million.
