DEER ALERT
The Illinois Department of Transportation and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources are reminding the public to be alert for deer during peak mating season. The agencies say deer movements and the chances of collisions are higher, especially at dawn and dusk through December. There were 14,436 reported crashes involving deer in Illinois last year.
