Judge Extends Ban On National Guard Deploying To Illinois
A federal judge is extending her restraining order banning President Trump from deploying National Guard troops to Illinois. Judge April Perry ruled that the ban will remain in effect until a final judgment is reached, possibly by the U.S. Supreme Court. A temporary restraining order issued by Perry earlier this month was set to expire today. The order stems from a lawsuit filed by Illinois and the city of Chicago against the Trump administration.
