A Decatur man is pleading guilty to animal cruelty following the deaths of two pet dogs in his home. Race Chapman was sentenced to a year of court supervision after entering a guilty plea. Chapman and Angela Powell were arrested on May 29th after two huskies were found dead in their home. Authorities say the couple failed to provide “adequate” food and water to several cats and dogs. Powell previously pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of animal neglect and was sentenced to a year of probation.
