Disney’s ABC is taking Jimmy Kimmel’s show off the air “for the foreseeable future” over comments about the killing of Charlie Kirk. The announcement came after Nexstar Media Group, a major operator of ABC-affiliated stations, said it “strongly objects” to recent comments Kimmel made about Kirk’s death. One of the affiliated stations that is removing the show is WTVO in Rockford. In his monologue Monday night, Kimmel raised the possibility that the alleged assassin of Kirk, Tyler Robinson, might have been a pro-Trump Republican. It’s unclear when Kimmel’s show will go back on the air.
