Gov. J.B. Pritzker has appointed Reverend L. Bernard Jakes to continue serving on the Chicago Transit Authority Board. The senior pastor of West Point Baptist Church currently serves as the board’s chairman of finance and budget. The Regional Transit Authority transferred $74 million to the CTA from other agencies last month, as lawmakers seek to address a $770-million fiscal cliff this fall.
