Illinois Drivers Reminded To Be Safe And Sober On Roadways For Labor Day Weekend
(Springfield, IL) — Illinois drivers are being reminded to be safe and sober on the roadways over Labor Day weekend. The Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois State Police, and law enforcement agencies say anyone who drives under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, or any other impairing substance will get pulled over as part of the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” safety campaign. IDOT data shows there were eleven deadly alcohol-related crashes last year in Illinois over Labor Day weekend.
