Pritzker Not Ruling Out 2028 Presidential Run
(Springfield, IL) — Governor Pritzker isn’t ruling out a 2028 presidential run. While appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press with Kristen Welker” yesterday, Pritzker said he can’t rule anything out, but any decision he makes will be about the people of Illinois. The governor also responded to a question about whether he was being hypocritical for criticizing Texas’s redistricting plan when the vast majority of Illinois’ congressional districts are Democratic. Pritzker said they held public and legislative hearings before a map was passed at the end of the census, while Texas Republicans are changing the rules mid-decade “at the behest of the president of the United States.”
