AI THERAPY BAN
One of the 124 bills Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker announced he signed Friday is a measure limiting the use of artificial intelligence in psychotherapy services. AI can be used for administrative and supplementary support services, but not in therapeutic decision-making. Effective immediately, state regulators can investigate suspected violations that could come with a $10,000 fine.
