Pritzker Set To Testify Before Congress
(Chicago, IL) — Governor Pritzker is set to testify today before Congress about the state’s immigration policies. The governor will appear before the U.S. House Oversight Committee, alongside Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and New York Governor Kathy Hochul. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson testified before the committee in March about Chicago’s sanctuary city policy. Pritzker’s testimony comes at time when the Trump administration has stepped up immigration enforcement efforts, leading to protests across the country, including in Chicago.
