Pritzker Signs Bill Expanding Insurance Coverage For Alzheimer’s Treatment

(Springfield, IL) — Governor Pritzker is signing off on a bill that expands insurance coverage for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. Pritzker signed a measure that requires state-regulated health insurance plans to provide coverage for all FDA-approved treatments of Alzheimer’s disease, medications prescribed to slow Alzheimer’s progression, and diagnostic testing necessary for physicians to treat the disease. The bill goes into effect immediately.
