After coordinating with other local governments, the City of Decatur has announced they will have non-emergency City offices CLOSED on Monday, January 6, 2025.
The city wants to thank the emergency personnel that are working as well as the Public Works crews clearing roads.
As of 5pm Sunday. January 5th there are 18 snow plows/trucks on the roads in 12 hour shifts and will work until it is safe to drive. According to the official statement, the public are asked to remember, the focus on keeping the primary streets clear before getting into the neighborhoods. You are also asked to please not travel unless absolutely necessary.
