DECATUR, IL – The Macon County Mental Health Board is requesting that anyone residing or working in Macon County fill out a survey that will provide information to be compiled in a comprehensive overview of the unmet mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance use service needs in the county. Results from the survey will be put into a report and presented at the Focus on the Future event, which will be 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the Mt. Zion Convention Center.

Focus on the Future is the Macon County Mental Health Board’s needs identification event. The result is the publication of a report containing lists of prioritized unmet needs and the estimated cost of meeting those needs. In addition to its use for the board, many social service organizations use this information to bring much needed grant dollars into Macon County.
The Macon County Mental Health Board is a unit of local government that distributes funding to various organizations to provide services for residents of Macon County related to mental illness/mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance use. The mission of the Board is to assure that a comprehensive and coordinated system of effective and efficient public mental health services is available and accessible to all citizens of Macon County in need of such services. The Macon County Mental Health Board supports services for thousands of individuals in Macon County annually.
