Man Convicted In Deadly Springfield Shooting Last May
(Springfield, IL) — A jury is convicting a Springfield man in a deadly shooting last May in Springfield. Demaro Brownlee was found guilty of murdering Jayvon Watson following a three-day trial. The victim was shot and killed May 24th, 2022 outside a convenience store in the one-thousand block of East Laurel Street. Brownlee is scheduled to be sentenced June 28th.
