Macon Co. Day Care Worker Pleads Not Guilty To Charges In Death Of 7-Week-Old Child
A day care worker in Macon County is pleading not guilty to charges in the death of a seven-week-old baby last month. Taylor Burris entered the plea yesterday to charges of endangering the life and health of a child, aggravated battery to a child resulting in death, and involuntary manslaughter. First responders were called out May 17th to an in-home day care in Forsyth, Illinois and found Maren Gallagher unresponsive. She died at the hospital the next day. Authorities say Taylor Burris later confessed to shaking the child before her death.
