Consumer Experts Provides Tips On Protecting Yourself While Shopping Online

Holiday shopping online can be risky.  University of Illinois consumer economics instructor Kathy Sweedler suggests using a credit card rather than a debit card.  She adds that credit cards hold the consumer to less liability.  Other advice includes shopping online with trusted retailers and making sure the browser has the lock symbol or HTTPS, which indicates a secure connection.
