The state agency that grants and revokes medical licenses is investigating a University of Illinois team doctor after a complaint was filed over his stance against Governor J.B. Pritzker’s school mask mandate. Dr. Jeremy Henrichs is also a member of the Mahomet-Seymour school board, which is abiding by the mandatory mask rule in its district’s classrooms. Pritzker is calling the inquiry a matter of “due diligence” and says the administration will not make any efforts to pull the professional licenses of individuals who disagree with the mandate.
However, after learning about what he believes to be potential criminal activity committed by the Pritzker administration, including the threatening of a public official and intimidation of that same official, State Senator Chapin Rose has filed, on the advice of his caucus’ ethics officer, a complaint with the Office of the Executive Inspector General (OEIG) asking for an investigation in to the matter.
