In an official release from the Decatur Police Department, an arrest has been made in an attempted murder case. The full release is as follows:
At approximately 5:30 PM on 08/04/21, the US Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force along with detectives from the Decatur Police Street Crimes Unit and the Macon County Sheriff’s Department located and arrested Dana E. Bond, Jr., 28, in the 200 block of W. Spring St. Bond had an active arrest warrant for Aggravated Battery with a Firearm related to an incident occurring at Prairie and Martin Luther King on 6/20/21 in which a female sustained a grazing wound. Quinten O. D. Sibley, 30, was arrested previously in connection with this incident and remains in the custody of the Macon County Jail.
Additionally, Bond had an active arrest warrant for Attempted Murder in connection to an incident which occurred on 5/17/21 in the 800 block of S. Maffit in which a 24-year-old male was shot in the stomach. Kadaris T. Britt, 26 was arrested previously in connection with this incident and remains in the custody of the Macon County Jail.
