Nursing home workers across the state are planning a strike.
SEIU Healthcare is a union representing healthcare and nursing home workers and announced the statewide walkout plan last night. The strike is set for May 8th and will impact 40 Illinois nursing homes. The union says owners of the facilities have ignored urgent requests for essential resources, best practices, and information.
