A man from Decatur discovered he was the victim of identity theft after being charged for a rental service he didn’t use.
The man received a bill fro a $75 U-Haul that was used in January. When he called to sort out the miscommunication, he was told the full bill was for more than $5,000. After learning of the bill, he contacted police. They have deemed the incident as identity theft.
