A Decatur man returned home and was met by his roommate attempting to rob him.
The man returned to his residence before noon last week on North Edward Street. His 20-year-old roommate pulled a handgun on him and the victim then took off running while threatening to call police.
The suspect, apparently startled, also ran and was found on North Union Street after officers followed his footprints in the snow.
The man said that an argument took place, but denied using a gun. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and assault.
