A 19-year-old was arrested after he threatened a woman with a tire iron and stole a car.
Javon Hardy went to Hickory Point Mall with the victim when the two began to argue. The victim called her mother and got into a car with her when she arrived.
Hardy threw a socket wrench at the vehicle, which hit and shattered the window, leaving the woman with minor cuts on her wrist. Hardy then used the keys he had taken from the victim to take her car. hardy parked the car in an alley and notified police dispatch where the car was located.
He was arrested and charged with theft, aggravated assault, criminal damage to property and domestic battery.
