A Decatur man was sentenced to 15 years in jail for a foot chase that resulted in him aiming a revolver at the officers subduing him. Jakaelin Gregory was approached by members of the Decatur Street Crimes Unit and Community Action Team back in September. When officers got close, he took off on foot.
Gregory ignored a command to stop and was stun gunned in a yard on East Wood Street. He then pulled the revolver from his waistband and was hit with another stun gun charge in the groin. Officers found Gregory in possession of heroin, ecstasy as well as a substance believed to be marijuana.
