An injured bald eagle that was brought to the Illinois Raptor Center in Decatur is making progress in its recovery.
The bird was brought to the Illinois Raptor Center on January 8th after being found on I-55. The eagle sustained injuries to its wing, foot and head after being hit by a car. The bird has been named “Trooper Eagle” and is now flying and is expected to be released back into the wild soon.
