Numbers from the first 12 days of cannabis sales in Illinois have been released. From the 1st to the 12th, recreational cannabis generated more than $19 million dollars. There were almost 500,000 transactions in that time.
The busiest day was the first of the year, with more than 75,000 transactions that generated more than $3 million dollars. 25% of the revenue from taxation will be moved back into the state’s R3 program.
